Do you get 8 hours sleep a night?

Corporate talent are often getting less than 6 hours of sleep each night, which can impact sleep disorders, impacting peoples physical and mental wellbeing. 

A few simple strategies below can assist you in optimising both the quality and quantity of sleep over time.

1. Create an environment that will facilitate sleep.

Dedicated your bedroom to sleep alone. Eliminate light and noise, Keep the room as cool as possible. In time, this will create an expectation in your body that the bedroom is where it goes to relax and rest. 

2. Follow an end of day routine.

Go to bed about the same time every night and wake up at the same time every day when possible. Create a routine that prepares your body and mind for sleep. Begin this approx. 30 minutes out of going to bed.

3. It's best to eat a light meal in the evening, especially if you are dining late.

You will sleep more deeply if you have finished digesting your food before you go to bed. A rich, heavy meal close to bedtime will interfere with your rest and leave you feeling sluggish in the morning.
